Product Introduction: F Series mud pump

1. Product Overview

F Series Mud Pump is a classic horizontal triplex single-acting piston mud pump, developed based on EMSCO mature design, fully compliant with API Spec 7K international oilfield standard. It is the core circulating equipment for oil & gas drilling, workover, horizontal directional crossing and geological exploration, used to pressurize and circulate abrasive drilling fluid to clean rock cuttings, cool drill bits and balance formation pressure.

2. Two Core Main Assemblies

2.1 Power End (Transmission Assembly)

  1. Pump frame: Welded thick steel plate with stress relief treatment, reinforced rib structure for high rigidity, anti-vibration under long-term alternating load.

  2. Transmission system: Integral forged alloy steel crankshaft, carburized hardening herringbone gears, stable low-noise transmission.

  3. Lubrication system: Matched with Gear Oil Pump, adopts combined forced+splash dual lubrication, fully lubricates crankshaft bearings, crossheads, crosshead guides to avoid metal seizure.

  4. Moving parts: Crosshead, crosshead guide, extension rod, nuts, shaft seals and other standard interchangeable spare parts.

2.2 Fluid End (Hydraulic Pressure Assembly)

The core pressure-bearing part contacting drilling mud, fully interchangeable with global standard spare parts:
  • Main components: Cylinder flange, cylinder liner flange, cylinder cage, cylinder liner, piston assembly, suction/discharge valve assembly, discharge manifold, right-angle elbow, plug board, gate valve, pressure gauge, pulsation dampener, shear relief valve;

  • Replaceable wearing parts: Sealing rings, valve rubber, piston rubber, guide tube;

  • Supporting maintenance tool: Hydraulic valve puller for quick disassembly of stuck valve cores.

3. Core Structural Advantages

  1. Long-stroke low-speed design

    Longer liner stroke allows operation under lower SPM, improves mud suction performance, reduces abrasion frequency of fluid end consumables, extends service life of liners, pistons and valves.

  2. Dual composite lubrication

    Independent gear oil forced lubrication system ensures full oil film on all friction pairs, greatly prolongs power end service life compared with single splash lubrication.

  3. High-pressure anti-fatigue fluid end

    All manifold, flange and elbow fittings adopt integral alloy steel forging, thick-wall pressure-bearing structure, effectively resist erosion of sand-containing drilling fluid; matched pulsation dampener stabilizes pipeline pressure fluctuation.

  4. Universal standard spare parts

    All consumables follow unified international dimensions, cross-brand interchangeable, convenient for on-site stock and quick replacement.

  5. Multiple drive modes

    Can be driven by AC/DC motor, diesel engine, belt or gearbox, adaptable to land rig, offshore platform and mobile directional drilling equipment.

4. Working Principle

Motor/engine drives gear set to rotate crankshaft; crankshaft pushes three crossheads and extension rods to reciprocate linearly inside cylinder liners:
  1. Suction stroke: Piston retreats, negative pressure opens suction valve, drilling mud enters cylinder cavity;

  2. Discharge stroke: Piston advances, mud pressure closes suction valve, opens discharge valve; high-pressure mud flows into discharge manifold and circulates to wellhead.

    Built-in shear relief valve provides overpressure protection to prevent pipeline burst caused by blockage.

5. Main Application Fields
